Roots - student sample post

Roots!

Roots are found under the soil and their main function is to anchor the plants in the soil and to hold the plant upright. Roots absorb water and minerals from the soil and transport them to the stem. Roots need to be watered.

Parts of a Plant

Hi! My name is Mrs. Gjenashaj. Welcome to the Parts of a Plant blog.
Here we are going to learn about different parts of a plant: roots, stem, seed, flower, and leaves.

Notes on procedure:
1) You are going to work in groups of three.
2) In order to complete this assignment you will need to do some online research to learn more about Parts of a Plant and also include at least one image of the plant part.
3) Post on Parts of a Plant findings from your research depending on what part of the plant you are focusing on:
- Where is the part located on the plant, what is the function of that part, and describe what that part looks like?

Here are some links and images that can help you with your research.
